Central Islip Teachers Give $85,150 in Scholarship Awards

We all know that the cost of college can be a scary thing to think about. Applying for scholarships is a great way to help ease the burden of paying for your education. A quick Google search will show you that there are many scholarships available with a great variety of criteria. Some scholarships reward academic success, some scholarships reward athletic success, and others recognize non-academic and non-athletic attributes of students. Click HERE to search nearly 9,000 scholarships, fellowships, grants, and other financial aid award opportunities through the US Department of Labor’s database. It is likely that you will find something that is appropriate for you. Underclassmen– now is the time to see what is available so you can start building a resume that will get you some money!
We, here in Central Islip, have another great opportunity for scholarship money and that is thanks to our teachers. Every year they donate money that is then awarded to us, the students of Central Islip. This year they were able to give out $85,150! The list of winners is below:
