The SAT is an important step in the college application process, and securing your test date early is crucial. If you are planning to take the SAT this year, now is the time to register for the November exam!
You can register now through October 24th to avoid any late fees. Late registration will be accepted until October 28th but you will have to pay extra.
Here are some important items to know that will make the process easier for you:
- You can only have one College Board account. That is the account you will use for Pre-AP and AP classes, and any PSAT or SATs you have already taken. Do not make a duplicate account. If you have any issues with your account, call College Board Technical Support at 1-866-756-7346 and press 1 for account assistance.
- When you are filling out your address information, the “City” is either Central Islip or Islandia. If you do not include the space in Central Islip, you will get an error message.
- You have to use an outside email to make your account (not your CI email). This is because you will need to access your account after graduation when you will no longer have access to your CI email. If you do not have a gmail account, now is the time to make one!
- You will have to enter a credit or debit card number to pay for the SAT. However, if you are eligible for a fee waiver, you will enter your waiver number instead. See your guidance counselor for more information about fee waivers. They are limited, so don’t procrastinate!
