You may have seen a classmate walking through the hall with a beautiful bouquet of satin flowers. Chances are, they were made by one of our very own Central Islip High School students! Emily Uribe is a ninth grader who found the idea for these creations while scrolling TikTok last year. She followed a tutorial and made a bouquet for her mother for Mother’s Day. It was such a hit that she decided to make more. With that first successful gift, “Emily’s Eternal Flowers” was born.
Putting together the bouquets started up in November in order to fulfil orders for Christmas and then Valentine’s Day. She also makes these stunning ribbon bouquets for birthdays and other occasions.
Now that Valentines day is over, what will she do with her time? “I’ll be starting on Mother’s Day bouquets, soon!” was Emily’s excited answer.
