Students looking for jobs are in luck! There is an Aldi opening this week near Target, on Carlton Avenue. They start hiring at the age of 18, so seniors, this one is for you. At Aldi, there are many positions like cashier, or re-stocker, which is a good option if you don’t want to work with money or deal with people a lot.
Similar positions are available at Target. When you enter the store, you will see a sign with a QR code to scan and apply. You can also find the link here.
Also in Islandia, there’s a Panera and Chipotle opening and they hire at 16, so underclassmen, there are options for you too! You can check the application process for Chipotle here, and Panera here.
To apply for a job as a student you will need to have your working papers. To get them, go to the main office and get the application. Fill it out, get your parents/guardian signature, and a physical from your doctor. If you already had a physical this year, you just need a signature from the doctor. Once you have those things, go back to the main office and they give you your blue or green working card depending on how old you are. The working card is very important when trying to get a job because that way the people hiring you know your legally allowed to work.
