The Action Committee held their annual “Fun Run” in order to raise funds for breast cancer awareness. It is truly inspiring how much hard work and amazing effort is put into these events every year. CI students continue to join together in such groups to show this town as something bigger. There was a sentiment of gratitude for Ms. Mitchell for everything she does for the students of Central Islip. The Action Committee also sold a variety of items that brought about breast cancer awareness.
Their passion for doing the right thing is again inspiring for all. Action Committee CEO, Anisa Spann, commented that it was “great seeing so many students get involved for a great cause.”
