KIC Brook Street Wetlands Clean-up

Volunteers are needed to help clean the litter up from Brook Street in Islip. Brook Street is home to a protected wetlands area. Volunteers are needed to pick up litter that has accumulated along the street curbs, in the wooded brush and by the water’s edge.  Items collected will be logged for research by the Ocean Conservancy.

This clean up is part of the International Coastal Cleanup. Since the first event, more than 17 million volunteers have collected more than 348 million pounds of trash.
